Dear Rex.
i having the greatest trouble sending you your money. It's a bitch. i went to five banks, one post office and a western union store in germany and they all told me it was impossible to sent money to an address in the usa, without the receiver providing an bank account number. the only institution who was willing to do so was western union, but they wanted to charge an extra 30 euro, so that the comic would cost me around 50 bucks. i admire your work but i'm not willing to pay such an amount.
here's what i do. i got your snail mail address, so i will send you cash and hope you can somehow settle things with your order system. I hope you forgive the hassle and the delays, but money order from germany to the us is a system which is a joke. i still want a copy and i hope you will get my cash enclosed letter without problems. again i hope you excuse the hassle!!!
let's see if that will work!!!
hope all you guys had a good start into the new year!

I have a better solution. I'll send you a copy for free. Going to 5 banks is more work then anyone should have to do for a comic book. Especially one of my comic books. I have the package already made up, so when I get the time I'll mail off a copy to you, plus a few extra scraps of material I have from my next project in the works. We'll figure out a suitable exchange later on.
don't think to bad of your comics. they are well worth the few bucks you charge for them. i answered your email to let you know what i'm going to do.

I got your e-mail. I've already gotten your package ready. On Monday I'll mail it off. If you want, you can even send me Euros. I can't spend them, but it would be neat to have a sampling of the new European currency.
great! i'll do that.

I mailed the comic today. I'm guessing it will take about 2 weeks to arrive. Hope you enjoy it.
I want to hear how this turns out. It's exciting. :)
(No, I'm not taking the piss.)
Fett
There he is. I was wondering when the Fett would show up. :)
Yes, it's been an exciting few days here at GPY. My comic has such a powerful appeal that it spawned this thread. I'm not used to having fans, so this is all new to me. :D

rex, your money is in the mail. it should arrive in a week or so. i sent you 20 euro plus some spare change for your sample collection.
i hope after you got the money, everything will be in order.

Excellent. That's got to be equal to about 25 dollars. I'll let you know when I get the money.
I got the Euros today. I had to laugh at the 2 cent coin. I was expecting a one cent coin when I first looked at it. It reminds me of a sit-com here that had a 99 cent coin as part of a joke.
I'm assuming that mail runs about the same speed in both directions. Did you get the comic yet?
puuh, am i glad that you got the money alright.
i got the comic yesterday. very good, excellent buy. very funny.
also thanks for the extra pages that you sent. you ' ve gotten really good with the cg stuff. are you planning on using them as backgrounds? if you practice a little more a whole computerized comic won't be that far away. it would cover a field that is not that exploited yet by the mainstream comic media. the only one i know of is "batman - digital justice". great stuff, only this time i will order using paypal.
the excerpts from the script sound like it is going to be a drama or even a thriller. am curious to see how you master that. anyway looks like a serious project.
liked the back cover story as well. was it already published? if so i would include it in your fictargraphics website or set up a new gallery page to show your works. i think you have a talent for writing humor stories.
hope i did not give too much away of your stuff. thanks again for the trust and hopefully you are not mad that it took so long receiving the payment.
next time i'll be smarter.

I'm glad you liked it. 20 Euros is a lot of money for a comic. Sadly, shipping costs a lot to get to Europe. As for my next comic, what I included with the package was just a small sampling of the rough materials. I'm a long way from finishing this comic, and I really don't know how much 3D stuff I'll be able to incorporate into it.
it's better that the creator get the money than the banks.
glad that everything is in order now!!
